Perth’s Crown Casino locked down after pepper spray attack
Perth’s Crown Casino was shut down and evacuated dozens of punters were allegedly blasted with pepper spray.
The casino’s gaming floor was forced into lockdown about 11pm yesterday after a 39-year-old man allegedly fired the spray near the roulette tables, hitting multiple people.
Vision from the chaotic scene shows security guards running into the area and quickly ushering people out of the entrance.
Some people allegedly used rope bollards as weapons in the ensuing melee.
Huntingdale mother Marae Back, who was on the gaming floor at the time, told 9News
she thought the casino had fallen victim to a more sinister attack.
“I freaked out, I thought it was a terrorist attack or something at first because everyone just started coughing and saying they couldn’t breathe,” she said.
